Advantages

Today’s challenges call for even stronger tubular connections, which can be set deeper, hold higher pressures and provide corrosion resistance to downhole gases such as H2S and CO2.

With 85% of current tubular failures due to threads, the advantages of an integral forge-welded connection become obvious.

The TubeFuse ‘Forge-Welded Connection Technology‘ ensures well integrity by giving the operator a gas-tight connection which is essentially flush with the main tubular and is as strong as the pipe body in tension, compression, internal pressure, external pressure, and torsion.

The integral post-weld heat treatment cycle also ensures that the finished forge-weld has the same metallurgical characteristics as the base pipe, in accordance with API standard 1104, which all TubeFuse connections are qualified against.

Features:
Ultra-high reliable connection
Gas Tight Connection – 100% seal efficiency
The weld is as strong as the mother pipe – 100% joint efficiency
Consistent metallurgical mechanical properties (no filler)
Flush with the main tubular Plastically deformable (expandable)
Enabling other techniques :
