Strategy

Research and Development

TubeFuse will focus on the design and manufacture of TubeFuse machines that can achieve forged connections at the rig site. Our primary focus covers:

  • development of next generation forging machines suitable for all applicable well sites
  • qualification and testing of forged connections
  • material selections to meet the expectations of major project customers.

Drivers for Adoption

  • Improved reliability of tubular joins
  • Improved operational effectiveness
    • Speed
    • Quality
      • Safety
      • Process Control
      • Metallurgy

      • Rig time
      • Metallurgy impact
      • Well construction
  • Supply chain benefits
  • Environmental

Commercialisation

TubeFuse will define the qualification and testing requirements and set the engineering standards that will demonstrate connections are suitable for use in the customer's well. TubeFuse will establish licences with existing casing running service providers and OCTG providers for use of TubeFuse technology. Further, TubeFuse will be responsible for training of rig site personnel and applications programming for early field use. TubeFuse will be prepared to establish service capability in any appropriate oil service centre in order to prove the application of the technology.

Our market

As oil and gas reserves become more difficult to exploit, wells will be drilled in more challenging reservoir and field environments. These will require:

  • deeper wells
  • higher specification materials
  • increased reliability

The industry will continue to seek ways to improve recovery of oil and gas, while looking to reduce costs. Technology such as TubeFuse, which delivers reduced development and operating costs, will be in greater demand.
