Our Technology
The TubeFuse technique joins tubulars using a specialised machine that heats and forges the pipe. It also provides quality control information necessary for well integrity checks. Current machines are designed to work with tubulars in the range 6-5/8" to 9-5/8" and to operate in Zone 0 conditions and qualified to ATEX specifications.
Applications
TubeFuse is relevant to any tubular use, offering increased reliability and reduced total cost of supply. Potential TubeFuse applications that will enable the industry to improve performance include:
- Gas storage wells
- HPHT and xHPHT wells
- Slim well design and Single skin wells
- Internally CRA clad tubulars for high corrosive environments
- Extreme extended reach wells
- Expandable tubulars – for gas tight connections
- Casing while drilling, rotating liners, left or right hand rotation drill down option
- Multi-lateral wells – Development scope: Level 6 welded junctions
- Steam flood wells for increased joint/connection reliability
- Geothermal wells
- Pipelines and Flow lines, especially J-lay for deep sea pipeline construction
